The candidates who have passed B.A./B.Sc. Examination, securing at least 45% marks in aggregate as well as in English Language/English Literature, are eligible for admission to M.A.Economics
M.A Economics is a two years course with University Examination at the end of each year. The Student has to pass five papers in each year. The total marks for the two years 1000 with each paper carrying 100 marks.
In M. A. Part-I and papers are compulsory while in M.A. Part –II there are three compulsory papers and the students has the option of choosing any two papers from the optional papers IV to IX listed below.
In Lieu of the two optional papers the student may be permitted by the Department/ Board of Studies to take up research (Paper-X) which will consist of in reach methodology (50) marks and a Thesis (150) Marks.
